Family Mission Statements, Goals and Budgets

Dear Friends,
Good morning. I enjoyed my early time with the Lord and then went for my walk around the track. Seeing the flowers start to bloom is such a wonderful way to start the day besides coffee of course...
We love to celebrate things here at our house and enjoy life. They say everyone has disappointments, problems and things that bring you down. Istrongly believe that praying, looking to the Lord and not the problem, being kind to others, building up our families and celebrating life will help you get through the milestones and situations of life. Realizing everyone has issues in life , it is important to figure out your goals, commit to them, monitor them and then live your life to the fullest. Encourage each other, make family mission statements and goals. You can't get anywhere if you don't know where you are going. Whether it is budget, family , schooling, long term goals all need to be mapped out and planned. Did you know 90% of airplane flights deviate from their course but always get to their destination by eventually getting back on course?
If you are hurting, suffering, or off course, know it happens to the best of us Get out your goals weed out what you no longer need, want or to experience and annually review. The key is the annual review and you will see that the problems or issues you had last , hopefully are very different from this year. It is my wish for you were able through prayer, wisdom, and determination to have accomplished and addressed some of them. In the world of wants vs true needs you have to determine what your family wants to live on one salary , to budget , to be out of debt and decide for yourself and not let what others have, or want for you determine for you.
By planning our families mission statement, goals, budgets, needs, OAMC , bulk buying, bargain shopping and keeping focused has helped us immensely through all our situations of wanting these past few years. Has it been easy? No.... in one simple word. That is for another post.
So today is toast day in March. So here is a favorite French toast recipe at our home. From our home to yours create a cool breakfast and enjoy.

Love,
Angel Mama ():)

Angel Mama's French Toast

8 eggs
4 cups milk
2 tbsp. Vanilla
6 large green apples - Granny Smith
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp. Water
12 slices of challah bread or thick bread

Melt butter; add sugar and water. Slice apples thinly with the skins on and simmer in butter mixture for a couple of minutes until they are coated and semi soft. Pour into the bottom of a greased 13x9 inch pan and let cool.

Beat eggs, milk and vanilla together. Layer bread over apples to cover the entire dish. Pour the egg mixture over all. Be sure that all of the bread is wet. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon. Refrigerate overnight or bake immediately at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until golden brown and puffy. If you prepare it overnight, put it into a cold oven and turn on the heat. Serves eight
